How to Book
Nottingham Playhouse Box Office is sponsored by experian
Our Box Office is open from 10am to 8pm Monday to Saturday, and two hours before the show on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to book to see our shows and so we offer a range of methods for you to book your tickets:
In Person – simply pop in to the theatre, located in Nottingham city centre and purchase your tickets from our Box Office.
By Phone – please call our Box Office on 0115 941 9419. You can pay using the following cards: VISA, Mastercard, Switch and Delta.
Online – you can book online by clicking on the online booking icon on the individual events pages.
Post – you can write to the following address (please include a daytime contact number): Box Office, Nottingham Playhouse, Wellington Circus, Nottingham NG1 5AF.
You can choose to have your tickets posted to you for an additional fee of £1. Nottingham Playhouse is a registered charity, and implements this postage fee in order to ensure that as much money as possible from the price of your ticket goes towards developing new work and providing engagement projects that benefit the community. All discounts are shown in brackets and are available to under 16s, full-time students, people who are disabled, registered unwaged, members of the National Campaign for the Arts, BECTU and Equity.
Please note that you will need to present your NUS card if you have purchased tickets at the student rate.
Some productions may not be suitable for children or will contain material which could cause offence. Box Office staff will be glad to advise you of the suitability of productions, if you’re not sure, please just ask.
Free Entry For Babies
For all children under 1 year so parents can enjoy coming to the theatre.
Enjoy discounts of up to 20% on Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company productions when you book 8 or more tickets (10+ for Cinderella). To find out more read our Group Visits page.
We offer discounted tickets for community and charity organisations as part of our Hot House scheme.
Tickets for schools are from £11 and one teacher goes free with every 10 tickets purchased for Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company productions. To find out more read our School Visits page.
Exchanges and Refunds
Tickets are non-refundable. We can offer to swap your tickets to a different performance of a Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company main-stage production as long as we have 24 hours notice of the first performance. This service is offered free of charge. Should the value of the tickets be higher however the difference must be paid. However no refunds will be given if you choose tickets of a lesser value. We regret tickets may not be exchanged between different productions.
Tickets must not be resold. This includes the resale of tickets for profit, in which circumstances The Management reserves the right to cancel the booking or refuse admission without notice and without being obliged to refund monies.
Information at point of sale
All information is correct at point of sale. On rare occasions it may be necessary to change the published detail of the event including advertised performers and event times without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary to change a customer’s seat allocation. We will inform the customer at the earliest opportunity but will not be obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
Consumer Contracts Regulations
Theatre Tokens and Backstage Pass memberships are subject to the Consumer Contracts Regulations 14 day cooling off period from the date of purchase providing no part has been used previously. (Event ticket purchases are exempt from this regulation).
As a registered charity, Nottingham Playhouse relies substantially on donations from supporters, as well as ticket sales. Donations help to secure our future, develop new programmes, maintain the very highest standards, commission new work, and entertain and educate even more people every year.
