Part of The Party Somewhere Else Festival
A moving play of female sexuality, told with a backdrop of hypnotic rhythms and original soul music.
Carolann’s awakening is sudden and all consuming. Perpetuating the strong black woman myth is no longer an option. She stumbles out of her super woman bubble to discover a world of sex, soul music and menopause. Hypnotic melodies, searing honesty and humour will take you on a journey of discovery with Carolann. Divorce, menopause and sexual awakening is Carolann’s second coming of age. Her refusal to no longer do what’s expected rewrites her future.

New for 2019 – The Party Somewhere Else ticket fund
In 2019 we’ve extended our Outreach work to ensure as many people as possible are able to access our events. We’ve put some money aside to create a fund for people who would like to attend our events but cannot afford a ticket. If you would like to attend one of our events but cannot afford a ticket, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call/text 07375665140 with your ticket request (max 2 tickets per request) and we’ll book and pay for tickets for you and arrange for you to collect them. We’ll keep doing this as long as there is money available.
We’ve put some money in the pot, and you can too – if you’d like to contribute and cover the cost of an extra ticket (or tickets!) for someone else, you can make a one-off donation or sign up to contribute monthly. You’ll enable us to offer more free tickets to people who might not otherwise be able to attend. In other words, with your help, more people can come to the party. And we will love you forever for it, we promise. You can donate money to the ticket fund via a Paypal transfer to email@example.com or via Patreon.com/thepartysomewhereelse.
