On Saturday 2 September, join us at Nottingham Playhouse from 10am – 1pm for a morning of free fun activities and eye-openingly interesting events for all ages. There’ll be live music on the from Gemma and Franklyn, arts and crafts, a tombola, backstage tours, special effects make-up, as well as talks for the grown-ups about our upcoming season! It’s going to be a great day, and best of all, it’s all FREE!

Our popular backstage tours return this year, and we have five opportunities for you to see behind the scenes. All places on the tours will be available on the day only from the Box Office counter, and are first come, first served.
Pop along to the Ustinov Room for a FREE talk with the directors of our upcoming Autumn shows. Seats for these talks will be allocated on the day only from the Box Office counter, and are first come, first served.
10.30am – Giles Croft will discuss the two shows he is directing this season, The Kite Runner and The Cherry Orchard, and also looking back on his 18 years as Artistic Director, before he steps down this November.
11.15am – Susannah Tresilian will be coming straight from the rehearsal room to discuss her work directing our upcoming production of Pride and Prejudice, which is a brand new play adaptation by Sara Pascoe.
12pm – Fiona Buffini has chosen to direct the Arthur Miller’s American classic All My Sons this autumn. She will discuss how the current political climate in the United States has made this production more important than ever.
