“Young love was never quite so thrilling. Headlong’s Romeo & Juliet is a Shakespeare Sliding Doors. A R&J to die for.” – Lyn Gardner, The Guardian via Twitter

“These violent delights have violent ends…”

In the heat of Verona’s streets, at the epicentre of a bitter feud, two young people will risk everything to be together.

This hot-blooded, new production of the world’s greatest love story is an explosive collision of youth with age, sex with death and love with tragedy.

Directed by Headlong’s Associate Director, Robert Icke and starring Daniel Boyd as Romeo and Catrin Stewart as Juliet. Catrin is currently appearing on our screens in Sky 1’s Stella and previously in Misfits and Doctor Who and on stage in Curve Theatre’s Buried Child.

Headlong Theatre’s recent productions include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Earthquakes in London, ENRON, 6 Characters in Search of an Author and Decade.
