Part of The Party Somewhere Else Festival
Brooke has it all: the job, the flat, the girlfriend… but what happens when things go tits up just before your 30th birthday? Brooke looks online for answers but it feels like everyone’s doing so much better than she is, and her overbearing mother is only another reminder of what life’s supposed to look like by now.
A bisexual Bridget Jones for the online generation, this tragicomic one-woman play and its lovably hapless heroine is for anyone who’s wondered why they feel so lonely when connecting with others is meant to be easier than ever.
Developed on Soho Theatre Writer’s Lab, longlisted for the Tony Craze Award 2018 & fresh from two sell-out previews at Soho Theatre, this is writer/performer Sadie Clark’s debut play. Directed by Madelaine Moore whose credits include: ‘Ladykiller’ (Vault Festival 2019, Pleasance London, Pleasance Courtyard Edinburgh, Oldham Coliseum), double OFFIE nominated ‘Coconut’ (Ovalhouse & National tour) and multiple OFFIE & Broadway World nominated ‘The Awakening’(Jack Studio).
“Brave, bold and brilliantly funny” (Lisa Walters, Channel 4)

New for 2019 – The Party Somewhere Else ticket fund
In 2019 we’ve extended our Outreach work to ensure as many people as possible are able to access our events. We’ve put some money aside to create a fund for people who would like to attend our events but cannot afford a ticket. If you would like to attend one of our events but cannot afford a ticket, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call/text 07375665140 with your ticket request (max 2 tickets per request) and we’ll book and pay for tickets for you and arrange for you to collect them. We’ll keep doing this as long as there is money available.
We’ve put some money in the pot, and you can too – if you’d like to contribute and cover the cost of an extra ticket (or tickets!) for someone else, you can make a one-off donation or sign up to contribute monthly. You’ll enable us to offer more free tickets to people who might not otherwise be able to attend. In other words, with your help, more people can come to the party. And we will love you forever for it, we promise. You can donate money to the ticket fund via a Paypal transfer to email@example.com or via Patreon.com/thepartysomewhereelse.
