Youth Theatre

Whatever your previous experience, we aim to offer creative, enriching and affordable opportunities for children and young adults to take part in at the Playhouse.

Our highly acclaimed Youth Theatres offer the chance to develop skills and confidence in a professional theatre environment, whatever your ability. Taking place once a week, our groups explore working with text, devised performances and improvisation as well as other drama and theatre skills and practices that are appropriate for each age group. There is usually a small sharing at the end of each term for family and friends.

“Nottingham Playhouse has offered me the crucial experience needed, and has geared me for a career in theatre, not just in theatre performance, but in theatre design.” Nikki Charlesworth, Youth Theatre participant and Arts Award winner
