This placement allows students to explore various roles including Stage Manager, Lighting Designer, Marketing Officer and many more. This unique opportunity will be based at Nottingham Playhouse and you will work with professional members of staff and have opportunities to talk to a resident director and designer.
At the end of the week you are able to share what you have learnt by presenting a short scene in front of friends, family and a panel of Nottingham Playhouse Staff.
Who is the Placement for?
This placement is for students interested in learning more about backstage roles and production based skills within a Professional Theatre environment. This placement aims to provide basic knowledge of the different technical and backstage duties and to enhance stagecraft techniques.
This work experience programme is not for people who want performance experience, or who want to pursue a career in acting. If you are interested in this area of Theatre, please see our Youth Theatre courses, where there will be opportunities to learn performance techniques.
