Brand new, week-long intensive summer schools

August 2020 has three fantastic opportunities for young people aged 11-18 years to take part, learn and have fun here at Nottingham Playhouse.


Screen Acting for Film and TV

Mon 10 – Fri 14 August 2020, 10am-6pm

Led by acclaimed director and leader of Nottingham Actor’s Workshop, Tim Smith, this is a week-long intensive learning on how to act on camera and direct for camera, as well as getting the best out of your smartphone when recording and performing.

West End to Broadway – Musical Theatre

Mon 17 – Fri 21 August 2020, 10am-6pm

Working with a professional creative team, participants will develop all three disciplines of acting, singing and dancing, culminating in a short showcase for parents and friends.

Shakespeare

Mon 24 – Fri 28 August 2020, 10am-6pm

Led by a professional director, young people work on Shakespeare’s plays, speeches and characters, culminating in a short showcase for parents and friends.

Price

  • £130 for one week
  • £250 for two weeks
  • £360 for three weeks

Regretfully we are not able to offer a refund should your child be unable or unwilling to attend after purchase. We will attempt to resell the place and provide a refund where possible but this cannot be guaranteed.
