Nottingham Playhouse is pleased to offer creative courses for those aged 55 or over for Autumn 2018. During the Autumn Term we have courses in Creative Writing, Dance, Mixed-Media Art and more, all in a relaxed and social setting.

Readers’ Group

A chance to explore some of the greatest plays ever written, in a friendly and sociable group. We’ll be looking at key scenes, delving into the lives of the characters and how the writer creates the setting and the plot.

Dance

This well established and popular contemporary dance class is ideal for dancers of any ability. The classes focus on taught exercises and repertory as well as creative and improvisatory elements, designed to keep bodies and minds active and engaged. These classes are taught by Karla Jones.

We will write together, share our writing, talk about the writing process, read other writers, and generally have fun. No previous experience of writing is necessary so come along and have a go!

If you would love to be involved in 55+ but feel that you cannot meet the course fee, we have a small number of bursaries available for each group, where either all or some of the costs are met by the Playhouse.
