The Sky's the Limit!

Tuesday 19th July 2011

For the duration of neat11 festival you may have noticed a camara crew popping up here and there and wondered what was going on…

It was in fact Sky Arts who were in Nottingham making a documentary about the festival. The film celebrates the range and diversity of neat11 from the likes of heavyweight European company Deutsches Theater Berlin and their production Woyzeck, Faust by Poland’s Teatr Nowy, Cheek By Jowl’s Three Sisters and smaller productions such as De Norske Teatret’s The Sorrows of Young Werther. As well as this, we had many Nottingham based theatre practitioners, writers and performers.

You can enjoy interviews with Playhouse Artistic Director Giles Croft, Artistic Associate Susannah Tresilian and Nathaniel J Miller, Co-Artistic Director of Hatch, the Nottingham based performance organisation.

The film beautifully encapsulates the essence of the neat11 festival, a true collaboration across the city.
