Nottingham Playhouse is calling all Nottingham residents from across the city to take part in our community company.
Director Abbey Wright will be directing Steinbeck’s epic play The Grapes of Wrath. The play deals with migration, the poverty gap, and our need for community. We are giving it a contemporary twist and there will be a live band playing throughout.
We are recruiting a 40 strong community ensemble. The ensemble will rehearse once a week from February and perform from 28th March – 8th April 2017.
We would like a proper representation of our community in the city, so the only criteria is that you need to be 16+ years. You don’t need any previous theatre or drama skills at all, just enthusiasm and a willingness to turn up regularly to rehearsals and be part of the team.
You will have a chance to work with world-class theatre professionals and to play a vital role in developing and performing in a new production.
We will be holding auditions at the Nottingham Playhouse on Saturday 4th February, 14.00 – 16.00.
Please, please come along, and spread the word to everyone you can think of! If you are tempted, don’t think twice. It will be an extremely welcoming, inclusive, friendly team. And we would love to see you there.
To get involved, please email Allie Spencer, Education Officer firstname.lastname@example.org for an audition time.
Auditions will be in the style of a group workshop so you don’t need to bring anything – just yourself!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
