Nottingham Playhouse is pleased to announce Playground, our new performance festival for artists, makers and theatre companies based in Nottinghamshire, running from 2 -7 October 2017. We want to showcase work from some of the most exciting new artists and companies in region – so send us a submission for the work you want to perform. Playground submissions are now being accepted until midnight on Monday 1 May 2017 and you can submit your show here.
Fiona Buffini, Associate Director at Nottingham Playhouse says “Come and play – we’re looking for new ways to support and celebrate the rich diversity of work in our cultural community. Whether you’ve got the germ of an idea or a fully-formed piece, we want to hear about it and give you the chance to shout about it.”
You need to be a company or artist based in Nottinghamshire and not have had the show you’re submitting performed at Nottingham Playhouse before. We will also consider works-in-progress and ‘scratch’ performances as part of the Curtain Raisers programme. More information can be found on the submissions form.
Playground will be an exciting week; a celebration of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s diverse and vibrant theatre community, and as Playground artists you’ll receive:
- PR and marketing support; inclusion in brochures, website and social media activity for your show
- Technician to support get-in and get-out; and to operate your show
- A level of bespoke support and continued relationship with us at Nottingham Playhouse
If you want to be part of Playground please complete the submissions form here by midnight on Monday 1 May. To find out more or ask any questions contact Gareth Morgan via email email@example.com
