Panto is here!

Jack and the Beanstalk
Friday 29 November – Saturday 18 January

We’ve checked the calendar a hundred times and though we can hardly believe it, it really is the first day of panto season for us today!

Jack and the Beanstalk opens tonight at 7.30pm and will run throughout Christmas and New Year until Saturday 18 January. That’s 76 sparkle-filled performances of panto fun!

We were delighted to see our panto compared to King Lear in Lyn Gardner’s cultural round-up of things to see. The Guardian also highlighted Jack and the Beanstalk as one of the best shows to see this Christmas.

This year’s panto is a very special one as we celebrate Kenneth Alan Taylor’s 30th year as writer and director and his final performance as Dame.

Kenneth Alan Taylor spoke to What’s On Stage about the prospect of donning his dame’s frock for the very last time.

Panto also falls on our 50th birthday on 11 December. To celebrate we are holding a special gala performance.

This year we are also offering a relaxed performance of pantomime on Tuesday 14 January at 1.30pm. A relaxed performance is suitable for anyone who would benefit from a more easy-going environment, including children and adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions or learning disabilities.

We all have traditions at this time of year and we hope to see you for one of our finest – put some fee-fi-fo-FUN in your Christmas with Nottingham’s ultimate pantomime!
