There’s only two weeks to go now until our panto Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood opens, and this week we were lucky enough to sit in on a rehearsal with seven members of the cast.
There were lots of tongue-in-cheek jokes as well as a healthy dose of thigh-slapping and the cast all seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their roles. Believe it or not there was even a reference in the play to Gregg’s bakery! Often when watching their colleagues run through their parts, other members of the cast couldn’t help but descend into giggles at the funnier moments in the script.
The cast have been busy rehearsing their parts for the last month but they are still as energetic as ever. It was also great to see Kenneth Alan Taylor step from his role as director to actor, as in addition to writing the panto he is also playing the part of Nurse Nelly.
Also watching the rehearsals were two tiny yellow friends – Lego Robin Hood and Maid Marian, check our Facebook page to reveal some photos from their travels!
Next week we’ll be dropping by the Props department, we can’t wait to see what they’ve been working on!
