Nottingham YouthFest to return this May

Tuesday 21st March 2017

After the success of last year, Nottingham Playhouse once again invites Nottingham and Nottinghamshire youth theatres to share their work on the main stage. The evening totally dedicated to young people will take place on Wednesday 3 May.

YouthFest 2017 will give local youth theatres an opportunity to engage with the Playhouse and each other as they share their work, showcase their talents and experience the buzz of performing on a professional theatre stage.

Details and Requirements

Youth Theatres will need to be available for a dress rehearsal on Tuesday 2 May 2017 or the afternoon of Wednesday 3 May. A Youth Theatre leader from each youth theatre will need to be available during the day on Tuesday 2 May for a “dry tech”.

Only one 15 minute performance per youth theatre can be programmed, so if you have multiple youth theatre groups then only one can take part.

All young people have to be age eleven and over.

There is no charge to be part of the Youth Theatre festival.

How To Apply

If you would like to take part or find out more please email Allie Spencer, Education Officer allies@nottinghamplayhouse.co.uk as soon as possible.

The closing date for registration is Monday 10 April 2017.

You will then need to complete and return this Performance Details and Technical Requirements form by Monday 24 April.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to email Allie.
