Join Nottingham Playhouse for family fun at Riverside Festival this weekend. Riverside is Nottingham’s biggest free festival weekend and takes place along the banks of the River Trent, at Victoria Embankment.
Saturday 1 August
Come and visit our stall from 12pm to 6pm and have a go at drama! We’re running FREE 30 minute workshops that start on the hour, every hour.
Each workshop has half an hour of fun games and drama activities to suit all. We will be getting ready for a performance like the professionals do with exciting games and exercises. We will then take a deeper look at Hare and Tortoise or Dick Whittington and create our own little pieces of drama.
Hare & Tortoise Workshop – suitable for 6 – 9yrs
Dick Whittington Workshop – suitable for 10+
To take part all you need to do is sign up at our stall in the Children’s area.
Sunday 2 August
Join us between 12pm and 5pm for storytelling with our very own Panto Dame, Sarah the Cook (played by John Elkington) as she shares the magical stories of Dick Whittington and Hare and Tortoise.
Experience the fun and excitement of these wonderful adventures in their book form before our theatrical treats this Christmas.
We will also be running a competition to win a free family ticket to our Pantomime, so come along for your chance to win!
If you would like any more information about this event, please e-mail Rebecca Jordan at firstname.lastname@example.org
We can’t wait to see you there!
