Nottingham Playhouse spring 2011 is packed with exciting events for everyone!

Spring season highlights include Forever Young which is back by popular demand; there’s the return of Steven Berkoff to direct his own version of Oedipus; the UK premiere of Ibsen*’s political satire *The League of Youth; a newly commissioned drama about The Ashes; and of course our next pantomime, Cinderella.
There is also a thrilling visiting programme of work which includes an international dance season with two world-renowned dance companies making their UK debuts, Danish Dance Theatre and Ailey 2. Nottingham Playhouse is the only UK date to see the phenomenal Australian Dance Theatre, who wowed a sell-out audience here in 2005 and completing the dance season are the stars of Britain’s Got Talent – Flawless, who will be making their Nottingham Playhouse debut in a breath-taking and dizzying show.
There is also a host of comedy including Punt and Dennis, Mark Thomas, Micky Flanagan, Gina Yashere, Stephen K Amos, Andy Parsons, Count Arthur Strong, Richard Herring and Russell Kane.
We also have the charming and delightful We’re Going on a Bear Hunt for our younger audiences and their families, also Rebecca Little returns with her Buxton Festival Fringe award winning show Turned Out Nice Again, which is Granny and Flo’s second adventure together after the very successful What Ever Happened to the Red Shoes?
