This year Pendrop have brought their monthly creative writing workshops to Nottingham Playhouse. Pendrop is the writing arm of the collective known as Blackdrop, an open-mic collective who meet monthly at the Canal House bar to share original lyrics, rhymes and lines. They’ve been running in Nottingham for 10 years with headline artists visiting from all over the UK. Blackdrop is run by Michelle ‘Mother’ Hubbard – who last worked with us on last year’s Shake the Dust project – and Saraa Rain, a talented young poet and writer who started attending the open-mic nights about 8 years ago and is now on the organising committee.
Pendrop runs from 6.30 – 8pm on Wednesdays monthly, with the next session on Wednesday 13 March. You can buy your tickets (£2) at the Box Office. All you need to bring is a pen and paper.
