Nottingham Playhouse is thrilled to announce that Janie Dee will be starring in their forthcoming production of Noel Coward’s Private Lives.
As an accomplished stage performer, Janie Dee has been recognised for her theatre work with three Laurence Olivier Awards.
Janie has been heralded as one of the UK’s most versatile actresses, in the past 18 months she has played Natalia Petrovna in A Month in the Country at Chichester, Susan in Nancy Mitford’s The Little Hut and Anna in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I at Leicester’s Curve.
Janie is currently playing the Countess of Roussillon in Shakespeare’s Globe’s production of All’s Well That Ends Well and after that she will start rehearsals for Private Lives directed by Nottingham Playhouse’s Artistic Director Giles Croft.
Janie will be playing the headstrong Amanda, one of Noel Coward’s favourite female characters, and her husband Rupert Wickham who will play Elyot.
