As a registered charity (number 1109342) we’re committed to making world-class theatre that is diverse as our community and ensuring that it is available to everyone. We do this through offering accessible performances, through Pay What You Can performances of our mainstage shows, and through 50:50.
Through 50:50, we’re able to donate tickets to local charities and community groups so that people facing social and economic disadvantage are able to experience live theatre, perhaps even for the first time. A single donation of £8 will fund one ticket.
The patron of our 50:50 appeal, and star of our upcoming show Touched, Vicky McClure has said:
“Ever since I was little, I’ve been visiting Nottingham Playhouse and immersing myself in the stories told on stage. Watching the pantomime was an annual family tradition that we waited the entire year for. It’s a place that’s become a home, so much so that I’m choosing Nottingham Playhouse as the perfect place for me to return to the stage in February.
“But not everyone is able to relish this experience. Many people in our community who face significant struggles will never have the chance to experience this joyful atmosphere. Nottingham Playhouse is working hard to change this through its 50:50 appeal.”
Now, Local Giving are offering to make your donation go even further and support even more people. During this campaign Local Giving will match all online donations by up to £10, and monthly donations by up to £10 per month for 3 months. The campaign will run until 17th November or until the pot runs out, with up to £2,500 available to Nottingham Playhouse in one-off match finding.
All donations made through Local Giving’s Grow Your Tenner campaign will directly gift 50:50 tickets to charities, community groups an and schools to this year’s spectacular pantomime, Aladdin. To make this possible, we need to raise another £2000. With your support, we can ensure that people in need can enjoy the perfect festive treat.
