Cast Announcement for The Rubenstein Kiss

We are delighted to announce the full cast for our new production of The Rubenstein Kiss, opening on Friday 2 October as part of The Conspiracy Season.

Joe Coen (Bad Jews, St James Theatre/ Arts Theatre London and Edward II, Manchester Royal Exchange) and Katherine Manners (The Hundred We Are, Yard Theatre and Life of Galileo, Birmingham REP/RSC) lead the cast as Jakob and Ethel Rubenstein.

Joining them will be Mark Field (The History Boys, Tour and I Have Never, Theatre Royal Stratford East) as David Girshfeld and Ellie Burrow (Romeo and Juliet, Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre and Speed The Plow, West End) as Rachel Liebermann.

Cornell S John (The Lion King; Lyceum Theatre and EastEnders, BBC) will play Paul Cranmer.

Completing the cast is Simon Haines (Posh, Nottingham Playhouse and Told Look Younger, Jermyn Street Theatre ) as Matthew and Gillian Saker (Ripper Street, BBC and Misfits, E4) as Anna.

Inspired by the true story of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, The Rubenstein Kiss is the multi award-winning play by James Phillips, set amidst the McCarthyite hysteria of the Cold War era, where the shadow of suspicion falls on two Communist idealists.
