We’re delighted to announce that the opening play of our Sweet Vengeance season, Sleuth, will star James Alexandrou as the unsuspecting Milo Tindle and West End and RSC veteran Miles Richardson as the game-obsessed crime writer Andrew Wyke.
James last appeared at Nottingham Playhouse in 2008, in Giles Croft’s All Quiet on the Western Front. Other theatre credits include In My Name (Trafalgar Studios) and Romeo and Juliet (Shakespeare’s Globe). James also played the regular character of Martin Fowler in EastEnders.
Miles has appeared on stage in the West End and in numerous repertory companies around the country as well as touring both at home and aboard. His theatre credits include King Charles III (Wyndhams Theatre and Broadway) Volpone (RSC), and Private Lives (Theatre Royal York). He spent five years at the Royal Shakespeare Company appearing in Loves Labours Lost, All’s Well That Ends Well, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It, as well as being a part of the multi award-winning Histories Ensemble directed by Michael Boyd.
Fusing together classic crime drama conceits from writers like Agatha Christie, GK Chesterton and Wilkie Collins, Sleuth brings you suspense, excitement galore and edge-of-your-seat thrills. Rehearsals begin this Monday 15 September, with the show running from Friday 9 – Saturday 24 September. Sleuth then transfers to West Yorkshire Playhouse from Wednesday 28 September – Saturday 15 October.
