Our legendary pantomime dame, director and writer Kenneth Alan Taylor will be the star speaker at the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Branch inaugural Christmas lunch on Friday 13 December.
Kenneth will be joined by our Chief Executive Stephanie Sirr at the business meets theatre event, to be held in the Old Library at Nottingham Trent University.
James Blick, IoD Notts and Derbys Chairman, said: “This seasonal event marks the start of a new association between the IoD and Nottingham Playhouse and where else should we begin but at one of theatre’s busiest times of the year – pantomime.”
He added: “Business generally continues to face some economic challenges although we are seeing encouraging signs of recovery in certain sectors. We hope Nottingham Playhouse, which is such an important local and regional cultural venue, will benefit from our support.”
A raffle at the event will benefit our 50:50 appeal which helps to fund theatre tickets for charities and community groups whose circumstances mean that a trip to the theatre is not ordinarily possible.
Bookings for the Christmas lunch, which will involve more than 70 business people, can be made via the IoD’s East Midlands regional office on 0115 848 6190 or online.
