Autumn Casting Announcement

We welcome some familiar faces from the stage and screen to the Playhouse this autumn.

Eric Richard famous for his long-standing role as Sergeant Bob Cryer in The Bill for 17 years has been cast as the legendary Notts County Manager Jimmy Sirrel in Diary of a Football Nobody. Joining Eric is Long Eaton-based Perry Fitzpatrick who will be playing David McVay. Perry recently starred as Arthur Seaton in the Manchester Royal Exchange production of Saturday Night and Sunday Morning. Nottingham-born Sophia Di Martino will play Grace and Alison. Sophia is best-known for her role as Polly Emmerson in Casualty. Playing Dave ‘Smithy’ Smith (among other parts) is Nottingham-based Luke Gell who is recognisable to TV audiences as Tim from Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.

We also welcome back Daniel Hoffman-Gill, Karl Haynes and Robin Bowerman for our production of Of Mice and Men All three actors were last seen at the Playhouse in our 2011 production of The Ashes.

Anthony Hoggard also returns to play Arnold in our 2012 pantomime Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood. Anthony has appeared in numerous Playhouse pantomimes over the years and most recently starred as Ugly Sister Donna in Cinderella last year.
