2013 is a very special year for Nottingham Playhouse as it marks 50 years since the ‘new’ Playhouse opened to the public. To celebrate, throughout the year we are going to share 50 interesting objects from Nottingham Playhouse’s history.
Our props department is home to hundreds of fascinating objects from past productions. From the sword held by Dame Judi Dench in a 1960s production of St Joan to the puppy used in last year’s Of Mice and Men, we’ll be sharing one image a week from our archives.
For Valentine’s Day this week we dug out a prop first used in a production of The White Album in 2006; rose-adorned letters spelling out the word ‘Love’.
Keep an eye out for more objects from the past 50 years on our Twitter @SkyMirror and on our Facebook page each week.
