LATEST INFORMATION ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Updated Friday 27th March, 11.30am
In line with Government health advice and to ensure the health and safety of our communities, Nottingham Playhouse is currently closed both to the public and to our staff team.
Productions and Events
We’re very sad to say that Private Peaceful, The Merchant of Venice, Oliver Twist, as well as some touring shows and participation activities have been deferred for the time being. We’re reviewing all other scheduled activity and are working hard to confirm changes to our plans as soon as possible.
Our Box Office team are in the process of contacting everyone who has tickets for our forthcoming events. When we get in touch, we’ll update you on the status of the show and discuss options for cancelled or postponed events. Please be assured we are working as quickly as possible to contact all customers in turn, but naturally, this may take a little time.
How You Can Support Us
Obviously, these are unprecedented circumstances and, as a charity, Nottingham Playhouse will be heavily affected by current events as we rely on ticket income for over 70% of our income.
If you would like to show your support, we would be immensely grateful if ticket holders could consider the following alternatives. By allowing us to retain all or part of your ticket price as a donation to our charitable trust or by exchanging your ticket value for a credit note to be used against a future Nottingham Playhouse production, you would be helping to ensure the future of the Playhouse beyond these very challenging times. For all performances that are postponed, we can also keep hold of your tickets and re-book you in as new performance dates are confirmed.
How You Can Get in Touch with Us
If you have a specific query about an existing booking, please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll be available by email Monday to Friday, 10am-5.30pm. We are also operating a limited phone service on 0115 941 9419, open 10am-2pm Monday to Friday, for those with more urgent queries. Don’t worry if you don’t get through straight away during these times – please hold and we’ll pick up as soon as we can.
We’ll continue to follow the situation and UK Government advice as it develops. In the meantime we’d like to thank all of you for your ongoing support.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Nottingham Playhouse very soon,
Stephanie Sirr, Adam Penford and everybody at Nottingham Playhouse
