Information about Level Access and Wheelchair Spaces

At Nottingham Playhouse we offer the following services for those that have access requirements:

The Madness of George III

From Tuesday 13 November there will be external broadcast vehicles on site, in the run up to and duration of the live broadcast. This therefore means designated parking spaces for disabled drivers on East Circus Street outside our Stage Door are limited.

The closest drop off points with a drop kerb can be found near the top of East Circus Street as you approach Wellington Circus and in the Taxi bays on North Circus Street.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and would recommend arriving as early as possible to enable parking in the nearby street bays during this time. Do contact us in advance on 0115 941 9419 should you require further advice, and please see further transport information below.

Level Access
There is level access to enter the Playhouse on East Circus Street and there is a lift providing access to all levels of the theatre.

Our seats on Row M in the Stalls are level access, requiring no use of steps or slopes. To get to these seats you take the lift from the Box Office to level 1 and turn right into the Auditorium.

Wheelchair spaces in our Performance Areas
There are ten spaces for wheelchair users available in the Main Auditorium and spaces are also available in the Neville Studio – please book these in advance at the Box Office. Patrons can choose to transfer to a seat or stay in their wheelchair.

Take a look at our Seating Plan to see Row M which is accessible for Wheelchair users and those who require level access.

Accessible Toilets
There are 3 accessible toilets at the Playhouse, available on the ground floor, stalls and circle levels.

A limited number of parking spaces are available to Blue Badge Holders on North Circus Street and East Circus Street, which are both directly outside the theatre. – see map below. There is on-street Pay and Display parking in close proximity to the Playhouse.

For all Nottingham Playhouse Company Productions, patrons who require a companion to enable their visit will receive the second ticket for free.
