Everyone is welcome at Nottingham Playhouse, and we endeavour to make our shows readily available through a range of options and accessible performances.

Here you’ll find more information about the BSL interpreted, captioned, audio described, relaxed and dementia friendly performances we programme for our main stage Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company productions, as well as information for wheelchair users and those who require level access.

Good to Know:

  • Digital Show Programmes can be found here – for enlarging text or to use with a screen reader.
  • For all Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company productions, customers who need a companion to enable their visit receive their second ticket free of charge. Please book via the Box Office on 0115 9419419.
  • Assistance Dogs are always welcome – please advise our Box Office when booking.
  • A limited number of parking spaces are available to Blue Badge Holders on North Circus Street and East Circus Street, both directly outside the Playhouse.
  • Booking for accessible performances is available online by selecting the relevant performance in the What’s On, or by calling our Box Office on 0115 9419 419. We hope to be adding booking for wheelchair spaces online, but for now, please call Box Office on 0115 9419419 to book.
  • Publications for Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company productions are available in alternative formats on request.
  • Seats in our Main Auditorium are approximately 41cm wide and have 25cm of leg room. These seats all have arm rests.
  • In the stalls, seats with the highest number in rows A-Q are the closest to the toilets. In the circle, seats C33-35 are the closest to the toilets.
  • There are ear defenders available for every performance, for any audience members who may find the sound too loud or overwhelming.
  • There are enhanced hearing headsets available for any audience members who would like the sound in the show amplified.
