Call Out for Associate Artist

Nottingham Playhouse is one of the UK’s most prestigious producing theatres. Our main activities include:

• the making and staging of theatre productions for presentation in Nottingham
• touring theatre productions, main stage and small scale, locally, nationally and internationally
• presenting visiting productions on the main stage and studio theatre
• a wide range of participation activities with all sectors of the community such as, youth theatres, SHINE, Playhouse Ensemble, Club Encore, workshops
• large scale community projects
• supporting new writing

This is an exciting period of change under our new Artistic Director, Adam Penford, as we mount more varied and ambitious productions, attracting a host of high-profile performers and creatives, garnering increased media attention and commercial interest.

We are now looking for an Associate Artist to join our new team of Associates, James Graham, Amanda Whittington and Matthew Xia, to support the artistic vision of Nottingham Playhouse.

The ideal person will be a theatre-maker with a strong knowledge of the contemporary theatre industry. A particular knowledge of the arts scene in the East Midlands would be beneficial. They will enjoy promoting and developing the work of other artists. A passion for, and knowledge of, championing diversity is vital.
