Once a month CAST presents two of the very best local musicians playing live acoustic sessions in the bar, for free (8pm – 10pm).

SAMUEL KIRK (INJURED BIRDS)

Special solo performance by the lead singer and songwriter of Injured Birds – purveyors of warm, beguiling and slightly peculiar folk music.

With the release of Injured Birds’ beautiful debut album Silver Birches (on Nottingham-based label Denizen Recordings) on the horizon in Autumn 2012, this is a unique opportunity to see Samuel, his banjo/ukelele and his “hypnotically engaging” voice, in an intimate environment.

Support comes from Leicester-based singer-songwriter Natalie Squance whose charming brand of folk-pop has been delighting audiences across the Midlands recently.
