Main House - Tickets: £5.00 - £10.00
Details
Inspired by the story of the amateur artist and their relationship with dance and music, Miguel builds a work part archaeology, part experiment, part testimonial.
The theatre becomes a space in which the work of the artist and the audience itself speaks through sensation, memory, architecture and interaction to open up a new set of connections. And we dance why? For love. For necessity.
Co-produced by Dance4 (UK) and Maria Matos Teatro Municipal (Portugal). With thanks for residency funds to Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian. Produced by O Rumo do Fumo – supported by Presidência do Conselho de Ministros – Secretaria de Estado Da Cultura / Direcção Geral Das Artes.
Part of Nottdance Festival 2013, taking place 7-17 March.

Standard £10.00

Nottdance returns as one of Europe’s leading festivals, known for its innovative and entertaining programme and always with the question ‘What can dance be?’
Much of the festival programme is created by artists who have an on-going relationship with Dance4, including this UK premiere by Miguel Pereira. Another highlight is Guilherme Botelho’s hit show featuring 15 captivating dancers and a hypnotic soundtrack by Mexican electronica artist, Murcof.
