Roger McGough
That Awkward Age
Friday 20 January 8pm
Auditorium - Tickets: £15, Concessions £13.50
Details
An evening of poems to amaze and delight!
McGough wrestles with mortality, seeks love in the launderette and jives in Macca’s trousers. He shares the pain of Lord Godiva and Mr Nightingale, considers his Final Poem and shakes a fist at Alzheimer’s. Addresses, elegies & ever perceptive playfulness make this a must-not-miss.
Roger McGough was honoured with a CBE for services to literature and the Freedom of the City of Liverpool for good behaviour. There’s poetry in the house and McGough fitted it.
Followed by a booksigning.

Reviews
His poetry is like a supermodel who can complete a Sudoku puzzle moments before swishing down the catwalk – easy on the eye and smart as a whip.
