Take Part

Welcome

The Participation team at Nottingham Playhouse offers enriching opportunities not just to access the arts but to create them. Our range of diverse and ever-growing accessible projects take place both at the Playhouse and in the local communities of Nottinghamshire.

We want our theatre to serve the interests and aspirations of the whole community as well as being a resource for emerging local writers, directors, designers and artists. We continually develop and create programmes, not just FOR the community but WITH individuals, schools and groups.

On our Participation webpages you will find information about the various ways in which you can become involved with us as an individual, charity, group or community. Whether you would like to participate in our regular youth theatres, or are from a school looking for energising and tailored workshops, we have something to offer all ages.

We also welcome ideas for community programmes from local organisations and groups: please see our Community page if this is of interest and read about other community based projects we run.

At Nottingham Playhouse we strive to offer something to the whole community, so please do get in touch and get involved.

Younger People

Nottingham Playhouse runs a variety of participation groups that enable young people to engage with and create theatre.

Older People

Whatever your previous experience, we offer creative, enriching and social participation programmes for people over the age of 55.

Schools

Our priority is to build long-term partnerships with our local schools and offer a range of creative programmes to enjoy.

Community

We run community projects to engage with young people and communities who don't have easy access to the arts.
