A gigantic tale of a little boy
This Saturday sees the opening of a magical children’s play written by acclaimed children’s playwright Mike Kenny. Jack is aimed at those aged 4-8 as an alternative to the pantomime in the main house and tells the story of Jack and the Beanstalk using inventive puppetry and original music.
Cast of Jack
In the cast we welcome back Gareth Cooper whose previous roles at Nottingham Playhouse include Gus in The Dumb Waiter and Roger in The Sound Collector. This time he plays Garbold the giant, and is joined by Daniel Naddafy who is thrilled to be playing Jack.
Cast member Ruth Rogers celebrates Cosmopolitan award
Ruth Rogers, who plays Gertrude in the play, recently celebrated winning a Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Award for founding Body Gossip, a campaign which works to spread the word about body confidence.
The campaign has visited many schools, encouraging students to write stories about their own body image. Body Gossip has even impressed the likes of William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who took time out to visit the Manor School in Cambridge last month to learn more about the campaign.
Jack runs until 29 December in the Neville Studio, to book tickets click here or call the Box Office on 0115 941 9419.
