Tom’s Midnight Garden
Friday 20 June- Saturday 5 July

50th anniversary production of the Carnegie Medal winning story Adapted for the stage by David Wood from the book by Philippa Pearce

His brother has measles and he's been sent to stay with his childless aunt and uncle – Tom is lonely, but this doesn't last long. At night, lying awake he counts the chimes of the grandfather clock in the hallway. On the stroke of thirteen he ventures downstairs to discover a little girl in a magical Victorian garden!

This moving and exciting story for people aged 9 – 99 years unfolds as Tom discovers the meaning of the inscription on the clock "Time No Longer". Tom's Midnight Garden was short listed In 2007 in the top 10 of the nation's favourite Carnegie Medal winning books of all time. Andrew Breakwell brings this enchanting story to life on the Playhouse stage.
