Sat 7th is FANCY DRESS NIGHT with prizes for the best outfits! And it’s the last night of Lip Service’s tour - so expect a real party atmosphere.

Jane Bond
Friday 6 & Saturday 7 June at 8pm

It probably hasn't escaped your notice that there's a new Bond in town…  but this Bond is female, blonde and dangerous. Jane Bond is a brand-new show presented by LipService, our favourite literary lunatics, and it's the perfect excuse (as if we needed one) for FANCY DRESS NIGHT at the Playhouse on Saturday 7th June, 8pm (complete with prizes for the best outfits). So, the question is who's your favourite Bond girl? Or villain? Or Bond, for that matter?

Join us for a fantastic FANCY DRESS NIGHT at the Playhouse on Saturday 7th June, 8pm when Lip Service's blonde and dangerous Jane Bond takes to the stage for the last night of the tour, and the staff and audience join in the fun by turning up as their favourite Bond character (or an SAS agent all dressed in black – more will be revealed nearer the time!).

You'll be shaken and stirred by award-wining comedy duo Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding's Jane Bond, a pacey pastiche which is as refreshing as a twist of lemon in a bone-dry Martini at Nottingham Playhouse on Fri 6th & Sat 7th June, 8pm.

Jane Bond's a girl with her work/life balance sorted, juggling being supermum with her role as Commander Jane Bond, fighting the forces of evil armed only with a clutch bag packed with girly gadgets –  her compact (a miniature satellite dish), her perfume spray (a truth drug) and her lipstick (a pop-up helicopter). Oh, and going blonde helped too. And do look out for the gorgeous Bunny Galore and, in a LipService first, a stunt man, who doubles (unconvincingly, it has to be said) as Jane in drag doing manly stuff while Maggie pops out to give the kids their tea.

Written and performed by Maggie Fox & Sue Ryding, Lip Service has twice won the Critics' Award for Comedy at the Edinburgh Festival.
