New English Contemporary Ballet brings a sparkling fusion of classical virtuosity and contemporary edge to its 2007 tour performing a mixed bill of new works as exciting as they are varied. The UK premiere of S(c)ent by internationally-acclaimed choreographer and Director of Ballet Basel, Richard Wherlock, brings classical ballet bang up to date, whilst a new commission from the French choreographer Patrick Delcroix, whose recent work for Nederlands Dans Theater has attracted critical acclaim across Europe, infuses the programme with a more purely contemporary flavour.  David Fielding, an up-and-coming young British choreographer whose work is increasing attracting attention, completes the bill with his take on what contemporary ballet is.

Under the artistic directorship of Niall McMahon the expanded company of 10 dancers, drawn from around the world, are guaranteed to delight audiences with their versatility and virtuosity in this accessible and broad-ranging programme.
