Nottingham Playhouse Trust Ltd is an organisation that is unique in the United Kingdom and its work benefits the people of the East Midlands and acts as an ambassador for the region when touring nationally and internationally.
The Uk’s most welcoming theatres 2007, Nottingham Playhouse produces ten bold and thrilling theatre productions each year and ground breaking education programmes as diverse as the community we serve.
- Audiences enjoy an award-winning theatre that has recently been refurbished and upgraded, which also provides disabled access to all public areas, new seating, and has award-winning restaurant CAST adjacent
- Popular productions also tour nationally and increasingly internationally
- Our Education department welcomes increasing participation from members of the local community as well as international exchange work
The organisation constantly has fundraising targets to allow it to expand on its work. We welcome all donations, however big or small with every penny of a donation awarded to Nottingham Playhouse going directly to supporting the public work of the company as all its overhead costs have already been met. Nottingham Playhouse is a registered charity, which means that any donation from a UK Taxpayer is increased in value by 28p in the pound.

Legacies are vital for the future of Nottingham Playhouse Trust Ltd. Only 5% of people in the UK have left a gift for a charity in their will, and yet legacies are the largest single source of income for many charities in this country today. Once you have provided for your family and friends, leaving a gift to Nottingham Playhouse will ensure that our good work can continue for many years to come, for example
- to support the cost of creating a Nottingham Theatre Company production
- to further our education work in schools and the local community
- to support the commission of a new play
- to pay for a piece of equipment, either in public areas or behind the scenes
All legacies to charities are tax free. If you make a gift to Nottingham Playhouse in your will, its value will be deducted from your estate before inheritance tax is calculated.
